We are about to embark on a new adventure at Crossfire!  The Lord has answered one of my biggest prayers about this ministry by providing direction and tools to help us initiate discipleship that will reach single adults effectively.  I have been concerned for some time that we haven’t provided enough opportunities for Christian single adults to deepen their spiritual lives, to find help with the struggles they face, and to connect with other Christians in meaningful ways.  Many men and women come to Crossfire during times of trouble such as divorce, widowhood, single parenting, broken relationships and loneliness.  Many come because they haven’t found the connections they need for social events and Christian friendships.  The community we call Crossfire exists to meet these needs for single adults.

Do you find yourself wanting any of these things?

Þ    a closer relationship with God and a better understanding of the Bible

Þ    healing from life’s hurts and answers to the “big” questions in life

Þ    to share your spiritual life and your story with a few other Christians

Þ    encouragement and accountability and prayer

Þ    confidence in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others

I am inviting you to watch the “Not a Fan” video series three Fridays starting September 16.  You will discover why Jesus is looking for “Followers” not “Fans” – people who will follow Him more closely and who will care about others around them.  You will be inspired!  The first night of the series will be on our September community night where you can enjoy dinner with your Crossfire friends.

I am inviting you to connect with a Life Transformation Group starting in October. You can be paired for discipleship with one or two other Christian single friend(s) who will encourage your spiritual growth in an accountable and transforming way.  You can learn to disciple others as well.

I am inviting you to choose one of three small groups this fall – one for women and two for men/women.  If you struggle with damaged emotions from past hurts, with setting proper boundaries in relationships, or simply want to be part of a spiritual growth group, we have a group for you.

Now more than ever, there are single adults all over Central PA who need a ministry like Crossfire, including you!
